ScrubGrid is a surgeon-scheduling application operated by Papyrus Health ("ScrubGrid," "we," "us"). It is used by surgical groups to manage their on-call and operating-room block schedules. This page explains what information we handle and how our text-message (SMS) notifications work, including how to opt in and opt out.

1. Information we handle

ScrubGrid handles scheduling and provider information only — surgeon and staff names, contact details (email and mobile number), call and OR-block assignments, time-off requests, and swap records. We use a member's mobile number solely to operate the service and, where enabled, to send the SMS notifications described below.

No patient information. ScrubGrid does not collect, store, or transmit patient names, medical records, diagnoses, or any protected health information (PHI). It is an operational scheduling tool, not a clinical system.

2. SMS / text-message program

Members may choose to receive operational text messages from ScrubGrid about their own schedule. This is a transactional messaging program — we do not send marketing or promotional texts.

3. How you opt in (consent)

SMS notifications are off by default and strictly opt-in. A member opts in by signing in to their ScrubGrid account, opening their profile, enabling the "Text message notifications" setting, and entering their mobile number. By doing so, the member consents to receive the text messages described here at the number they provide. Consent is not a condition of using ScrubGrid, and a member can withdraw it at any time (see "How you opt out").

4. What we send and how often

A swap or coverage request involving you (for example: "Dr. Lee requested to swap your June 5 call — reply YES to accept, NO to decline").
Confirmation, denial, or cancellation of a swap you are part of.
A decision on a time-off request you submitted.

Message frequency varies based on schedule activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

5. How you opt out

You can stop ScrubGrid texts at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then send no further texts unless you opt in again. You may also turn off "Text message notifications" in your ScrubGrid profile at any time. For help, reply HELP to any message or email support@scrubgrid.ai.

6. Sharing of your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share mobile information or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share data only with the service providers that operate ScrubGrid on our behalf — for example, our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) and our hosting provider — solely to deliver the service, and only to the extent needed to do so.

7. How we protect your information

Access to ScrubGrid requires an account, and member data is transmitted over encrypted connections. We retain scheduling and contact information only for as long as a member's group uses the service.
